Description
Limited edition 7 plank wagon commissioned by West wales Wagon Works and made by Dapol in 2009. Limited edition no 24 of 75 pristine wagons. The Abingdon on Thames Gas works were established in the early 1800’s. The introduction of the railway line to the town in 1856 saw a transfer from using barges to transport coal to the gas works to using the railway. To further capitalise on the economy of the railway the gas works were relocated to a new site closer to the rail line in 1887. ERA’s: 1 & 2. Wagon is in excellent, like new condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Box and sleeve in very good condition.
