Allen Parsons & Co – 7 plank OO



Limited edition 7 plank wagon commissioned by Ballards and made by Dapol in 2006. Limited edition of 1000 pristine wagons, certificate included no. 157. Allen Parsons commenced his business as an agricultural dealer and coal importer in 1886. He sold a wide range of materials including brimstone, sulphate, lime, hay, oats and petroleum to name a few from the companies base in Tunbridge Wells. In 1901 he welcomed his son Allen F. Parsons into the business, the company ceased trading circa 1909. Records show that in March 1907 the company purchased two 10-ton plank wagons from the Gloucester Railway Carriage & wagon Co, both wagons were registered with the LB&SCR. ERA: 2
Wagon is in excellent condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Box in very good condition with very light wear.
