Axminster Carpets – Vent Van N
Special Edition van made by Graham Farish for Buffers in 2005. 500 pristine vans were produced. Axminster carpets Ltd was founded in 1755 in Axminster, Devon by Thomas Whitty a local weaver. The company became famous for its intricate tapestry like carpets which were used in royal residences and famous buildings such as Brighton pavilion and Chatsworth House. Axminster have recently provided carpets for the TransPennine Express fleet of class 185 trains and 825 of South Western Railways fleet of class 450, 444, 442, 158 and 159. As far as we can tell this is a fictitious livery but a very attractive one for a company with close links to the railways.
