ERA 2, ERA 3
Limited edition brewery van made by Dapol for Wessex Wagons in 2012. Limited edition certificate included no. 69 of 142 pristine wagons. The Biggs Brothers and James Budden of Chatham merged to form the company in 1897. The Biggs Brothers owned the brewery whilst Budden was a wine merchant and owner of 32 licensed houses. The brewery and some of the houses were bought by Coope of Romford and Burton-on-Trent in 1931. This wagon was purchased from the Gloucester railway Carriage and Wagon Company in November 1900 and it was delivered in February 1901. Its not known how long the wagon was in service but we can surmise up until the brewery sold in 1931. Wagon is in immaculate like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact. Box also in excellent condition.
