Limited edition 7 plank wagon commissioned by Tutbury Jinny and made by Dapol in 2005. Limited edition of 150 pristine wagons. The Burton on Trent Co-operative Society was in operation in the early 1900’s, members were able to purchase household coal and receive dividends on their purchases, in 1930 it was merged with the Derby Co-operative Society. The Co-op had a fleet of some 30 wagons many built by local companies in Birmingham, however no.11 modelled here was the only one made by Hurst, Nelson wagon builders based in Motherwell. The wagon was purchased circa 1910 and registered with the Midland Railway. ERA’s: 2 and 3. Wagon is in excellent like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact, box is in fair condition, with wear to the box and sleeve.
