Cain Bros – 7 plank N gauge

£22.95

Produced for the Bachmann Collectors Club in 2006 as a limited edition of 504 wagons. Certificate included no. 437 of 504. Cain brothers were coal merchants based in Wallasey and Birkenhead in the early to mid 1900’s. This particular wagon came from the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company in 1933 and was an example of an older wagon which was overhauled and re-painted with it’s new livery. The wagon is marked empty to W. I. Craig & Sons who were the owners of Brynkinnalt Colliery near Chirk, located on the GWR line from Wrexham to Shrewsbury. The wagon would of likely run from Wallesey on the Wirral Railway and Birkenhead via Chester and Wrexham on to Chirk, so the area covered by the wagon would of been fairly small. ERA’s: 3 and 4. Wagon is in wonderful like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact, box in very good condition.
