Cotton Powder Co Ltd – gunpowder van N gauge
Limited edition gunpowder van produced for Ballards by Dapol in 2009. The Cotton Powder Company established its works at Uplees, near Faversham, Kent in 1873 and had a second site at Melling, near Liverpool. The company manufactured gun cotton and further expanded into the production of other explosives up until 1913 when the factories were requisitioned by the Admiralty during the first World War. The company would close in 1919. ERA: 2. Wagon is in excellent like new condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Box and sleeve are in very good condition.
