Description
Limited edition 5 plank wagon with timber load comissioned by Burnham & District MRC and made by Dapol in 2011. Limited edition certificate included no. 40 of 154 pristine wagons produced. Cuthbert Ritson was born in County Durham but moved his family to Bridgwater in Somerset in the late 1840’s where he establised his timber merchants. The company also had a base in Oreston in Plymouth which utilised the LSWR branch. So this wagon would also of run on the SDJR, GWR and SR. Ritson operated his business until the 1880’s when John Bland took over.ERA: 2. Wagon is in excellent, like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact. Box is in good condition with one minor tear on one rear edge.
