Dapol N’Thusiasts Stevens 2011 – 20T Mineral N

Special edition 20T steel mineral wagon made by Dapol for their N’Thusiasts Club in 2011. Stevens & Co was founded in 1896 and became a successful coal merchant of significant size in the Oxford area. The company had numerous depots including at the local LMS yard and supplied coal throughout Oxfordshire, adjoining counties and into Warwickshire. Stevens purchased coal from many well known collieries in the Warwickshire coalfields including Griff, The Arley Colliery and Baddesley. The 20T mineral wagon modelled here was made by the Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon Co in 1927, as part of an order of 3 wagons which were registered with the GWR. Wagon is in excellent like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact, box in good condition with some light wear.
