F.J. Bonner – 7 plank OO

£14.95

Description

Exclusive release from the Wagon Yard – 95 pristine 7 plank, private owner wagons in the livery of F.J. Bonner. Bonner was a coal merchant operating from 1909 and based in Guildford, Surrey. The wagon livery recreated here is unusual in that it promotes not only Bonner’s coal merchant business but also the cigarette maufacturing business of Mason & Toogood Ltd of which Bonner was a director. The wagon was built by Hurst, Nelson. A highly attractive wagon due to the unique dual livery and detailed scroll work, which beautifully demonstrates the skill of the signwriters and wagon builders of the time. ERA: 2
