Gwendraeth – 7 plank N gauge

Limited edition wagon produced for the Swansea Railway Modellers Group by Dapol in 2023. Limited edition certificate no 63 of 150. Gwendraeth Anthracite Collieries Ltd was based in Swansea as early as 1860. It operated to collieries – Gwendraeth and Plasbach. The company became along with many other small collieries part of Amalgamated Anthracite Collieries Ltd in the 1920’s. Both collieries closed later that same decade. The wagon modelled here was made by Hurst, Nelson of Motherwell. ERA: 2.
