Limited edition wagon produced by Dapol for Modellbahn Union in 2015. 106 pristine wagons this being no. 94. The Highley Mining Company commenced trading in the late 1800’s, the companies mine held a significant position being located above Highley Station on the Severn Valley Railway which formed part of the original Great Western line from Kidderminster to Wellington. A smaller subsidiary colliery was located at Kinlet. The mines produced household and manufacturing coals and supplied numerous local towns plus a number of larger individual customers such as the the Salt Union at Bromsgrove and South Wales & Cannock Chase Coal co. The company was still trading in 1945 and employed over 851 employees. The company is recorded as hiring and purchasing wagons from the Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon Company. ERA’s: 2 and 3. Wagon is in superb like new condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Box in good condition.
