Limited edition 7 plank wagon commissioned by West Wales Wagon Works and made by Dapol in 2010. Limited edition of 82 pristine wagons with original limited edition sticker this being no. 23 of 82. The collieries pit was sunk in the early 1900’s at Llangwyn on the Haverfordwest branch of the GWR. It would be worked for 20 years before the formation of the Hook Anthracite Colliery Company Ltd. In 1923 the company employed 125 men and its out put was 40,000 tons per year which was sold through coal agent William Essery of Swansea. The company would go into liquidation in 1933. Hook Anthracite did not own its own wagons but hired wagons from the Glamorgan and North Glamorgan Wagon companies and in 1946 twenty four wagons from Glenavon Colliery. Wagon hire cost the company £400 per month. ERA: 2 and 3. Wagon is in excellent like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact. Original box with limited edition sticker, in very good condition.
