Huxford & Co Northiam – 5 plank OO



Special edition 5 plank wagon made by Dapol and commissioned by the Kent & East Sussex Railway in 2001. 320 models were released with a second issue in 2003 of 664 pristine wagons. R. Huxford is the only trader known to of run wagons on the KESR. Huxford joined the RCH commuted scheme in 1926 and can be found listed in Coal Trades Directory in 1938. The Kent & East Sussex Railway Preservation Society built a wagon in 1949 using a BR 5 plank, it is not known if they had source material to work from but this model is based on the wagon they produced. ERA: 3. Wagon is in very good condition, with one minor repair to to one of the door springs. All buffers and couplings intact. Box in fair condition.
