Jabez Cole – 7 plank OO

£26.95

Limited edition private owner 7 plank wagon commissioned by Frizinghall Models in 2007 and made by Bachmann (37-101Z). Limited edition of 504 pristine wagons. Jabez Cole was a steam coal merchant trading in Bradford from the late 1800’s into the early / mid 1900’s. In 1900 an American report on foreign coal markets described Jabez Cole as one of the largest coal merchants in Bradford. Cole operated from the GN coal depot, the L&Y Coal depot and Great Horton Station Coal Depot. This particular wagon was registered with the L&Y railway in 1920. ERA’s: 2 and 3. Wagon is in excellent condition with all buffers and couplings intact. A realistic coal load has been added but this has been done well and looks affective (see photo). Box is in good condition with some wear to edges. The insert has been modified to accommodate the coal load but wagon is still safe and secure.
