Lambert & Cox – 7 plank OO
Limited edition 7 plank wagon made by Hornby and commissioned by British Railway Modelling in 2008. Limited edition certificate included, this being no. 120 of 250. Charles Lambert was a coal merchant in his own right from 1881 to 1927. It is a little unclear the circumstances but in 1931 Lambert & Cox is found in Kelly’s Directory. Cox was previously in a partnership with Dickinson which dissolved in 1927 and evidence suggests Lambert & Cox formed after this. The wagon modelled here was built by the Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon Co in 1938. ERA: 3. Wagon is in excellent, like new condition, with all buffers and couplings intact. Box in good condition, with a crease on the bottom side.
