Manners – 8 plank OO



Limited edition 8 plank wagon was commissioned for The Midland Railex Exhibition in 2013 and was made by Bachmann. The Manners Colliery Company was established in 1898 to run the Manners Colliery near Ilkeston, Derbyshire. Producing household coal the wagons ran widely supplying as far as London with a large contract to the Metropolitan Asylum Board (London) for 15,000 tons per year. Closer to home the company supplied 25,000 tons to the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Electric Power Co. This wagon was built by William Rigley in 1937 as part of an order for 100 wagons, numbered 1000 to 1099. ERA: 2 and 3. Wagon is in excellent, like new condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Box in good condition with one mark from an old label.
