Limited edition 7 plank wagon produced by Dapol for Ballards in 2006. Limited run of 1000 pristine models. Certificate included wagon no. 129 of 1000. Medway Coal was one of the oldest coal merchant businesses in Kent. Formed by the Medway Navigation Company in 1845 it was based in Tunbridge Wells with depots at Tonbridge, Hastings and East Peckham. Later the company acquired Quinnells an office in Sevenoaks. The wagon is based on two photographs of wagons in a High Brooms goods yard in the 1930’s and a sketch by Peter Matthews of wagon no. 17. ERA: 2 and 3. The model is in excellent, like new condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Box in very good condition with light wear.
