Thomas Moy was a coal merchant and wagon works owner from Colchester. He started out by purchasing the coal merchant business of John Mann and established a healthy trade throughout the home counties and East Anglia. IN 1890 the wagon works were opened in Peterborough, customers included Kingsbury Colliery, Bolsover Colliery Co, Yorkshire Main Colliery and Glass Houghton Colliery to name a few. This particular wagon was made by Charles Roberts in 1938 and registered with the L.N.E.R. ERA: 3
