Norchard – 7 plank N
A limited edition wagon commissioned by Derails Models and made by Peco. The wagon appears to be no. 2 of 100 pristine wagons made by Peco. However the sticker is smudged so its hard to be 100% sure.
Built in 1907 by the Gloucester Carriage and Wagon Works it carries the Norchard Colliery livery and would likely of been moving coal from the colliery to the nearby power station right up until the collieries closure in 1957.
The wagon is in immaculate, as new condition with all buffers and couplings intact. Looks to of never been removed from its box.
(Historical information from “Private Owner Wagons of the Forest of Dean” by Ian Pope, published by Lightmoor Press).
