Limited edition 7 plank wagon commissioned by Ballards and made by Dapol in 2008. In 1905 after working in the family grocers business Charles Ernest Peacock and his brother Thomas George started a partnership with Charles Harris a former colleague. Together they formed a coal merchants – Peacock Brothers & Harris. The business had an account with the L&NWR and later with LMS. In 1946 the domestic coal side of the business was sold to Rickett, Cockerell & Co whilst the supply of bulk coal and coke to farmers for hop drying became the companies main trade.The company continued until the ealry 1960’s. ERA’s: 2 and 3. Wagon is in excellent condition with all couplings and buffers intact. A real coal load has been added. Box in good condition.
