“Repaired Finish” – OAA Open OO Gauge

OAA open wagon made by Rapido Trains UK in the livery of a “repaired finish” wagon, no. 100040. These 45t wagons were the first of BR’s new generation of airbraked goods wagons with Ashford Works building 100 new OAA in the early – mid 1970’s, numbered from 100000 – 100099. Each wagon featured a 20ft 9in wheelbase underframe, air brakes and upgraded running gear. The OAA’s ran across the network, but as newer wagons were introduced some of the older stock were modified or relegated to departmental work. (9150008)
