Richard L. Morgan (weathered) – 7 plank N gauge



Limited edition private owner wagon from Mathieson, some of the 25 limited edition pristine wagons were later weathered. Richard Lewis Morgan was a colliery agent from Llanguike, Glamorganshire. From 1901 onwards he primarily represented the Brynhenllys Colliery Company whose main pit was located on the Caelleau Branch, near Gwys on the Midland Railway. The majority of the collieries coal would of stayed in the local area but links to the Midland and Neath & Brecon Railways make it possible that the coal could of reached the Midlands, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Morgan purchased wagons from Gloucester Railway Carriage & Wagon Co and the Western Wagon Company. The wagon modelled here was made by Gloucester RC&W Co in 1901 as part of an order of 50 wagons, which were registered with the Midland Railway. (MW0024) ERA: 2. Wagon is in immaculate like new condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Box in excellent condition.
