SR Loco Ash – grampus N gauge

Special edition grampus wagon made by Dapol for the Bluebell Railway in East Sussex. Grampus wagons were utilised all across the network of British Railways, these versatile vehicles had drop sides for loading and unloading and could carry a variety of materials. 4781 grampus wagons were built between 1951 and 1961. Some had vaccuum breaking but most were handbrake only, they had wooden floors and removable end planks. No. 985854 was built at BR’s Shildon Works in 1953 and originally started it’s working life at Feltham in the Southern Region. The wagon was eventually updated with vacuum breaking. After retirement it found its way to the Bluebell Railway where in 2014 it was used in a television production then sold on to Bressingham Museum.  ERA: 4, 5 and 6. Wagon is in excellent, like new condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Parts pack intact and included. Box in very good condition.
