Timsbury Colliery – 6 plank N gauge

Limited edition 6 plank wagon in the livery of Timsbury Colliery commissioned by Buffers in 2005. 500 pristine wagons were made by Graham Farish (373-175W). The wagon is listed as a 7 plank on the box but it was made using the 6 plank model inherited from the original Graham Farish factory. Timsbury Colliery was part of a group of collieries in the Somerset coalfield run by different companies but effectively operated by the same people. Tismbury was located in the centre of the area and at differnt points in the collieries history 11 pits were in operation. The first pits at Timsbury opened in early 1700 and the final one closed in 1916. Combined the group of collieries had in the region of 400 plank wagons and numerous HHA hopper wagons. ERA: 1 and 2. Wagon is in excellent like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact, box in excellent condition.
