Description
Limited edition wagon made by Dapol for Swansea Model Rail Group. Certificate included no. 102 of 135. This wagon was produced as a set of 3 – one black, one signal red and one oxide red in 2018. The Tirdonkin Colliery was located at Llangyfelach, near Swansea in South Wales. The company opened its new colliery site there in 1899 and mining operations continued until 1928. This particular wagon was built by the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Co in 1904. Tirdonkin also commenced a wagon repair contract with the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Co in the same year. ERA: 2 and early 3.
