Towner Brothers Brewery – box van OO

Limited edition box van commissioned by Simply Southern and made by Dapol in 2020. Limited run of 55 pristine wagons. The Tipper Ale Brewery was founded in the mid 18th century by Thomas Tipper. Located in Bridge Street in Newhaven, East Sussex Tipper sold the business in 1837 to Thomas Stone, who would then sell it onto Robert Towner in 1860. Towner Brothers had 9 tied pubs in the Newhaven area and would successfully run the brewery until the early 1900’s when Rock Brewery of Brighton would become the new owners. The livery modelled here is based on the companies logo and advertising materials. ERA: 2
