Ward & Son – 7 plank OO

Description

Limited edition 7 plank wagon produced by Dapol for Ballards in 2002. Limited run of 1000 pristine models. Certificate included wagon no. 141 of 1000. James Ward set up his coal & corn merchant business in Tunbridge Wells in the 1870’s. His son William was also a merchant and the company continued trading until the early 1940’s. The wagon modelled here is based on a sketch from the Modellers Sketchbook of Private Owner Wagons, volume 3. ERA: 2 and 3. The model is in excellent, like new condition with all couplings and buffers intact. Box in very good condition with light wear.
