Limited edition 7 plank private owner wagon in the livery of Wetmore commissioned by Bristol East MRC in 2008. Limited edition certificate included no. 31 of 195 pristine wagons. Robert Wetmore was in business as a coal merchant in Bristol in the early 1900’s working as part of Wetmore & Bird Ltd (with Ernest Bird) whilst also running his own company under the name of Wetmore. Wetmore & Bird would cease trading in 1918 whilst Wetmore continued into the late 1930’s. This particular wagon was made by the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company in 1924 and purchased by Wetmore on 7 year payment terms. ERA’s: 2 and 3. Wagon is in excellent, like new condition with all buffers and couplings intact. Box and sleeve in good condition with some wear.
